As spring winds down and summer approaches, one of the most important American holidays appears on the calendar: Memorial Day, falling this year on May 25, 2025.
It’s a time for barbecues, 🥩🍔🌭 pool parties, pools👙🩳🩴👒🧜🏼♀️🏊🏼♀️💦 and long weekend getaways 🏖🏞🏝🏜—but most importantly, it’s a time for reflection and remembrance.🫠🫶🙏🏼💛🫡🇺🇸
The meaning of Memorial Day goes far beyond a long weekend or summer☀️ celebration.🎈✨️🧨
It’s a time to remember the sacrifices made by men and women in uniform who gave their lives defending American freedoms.🇺🇸🫡💛
Originally known as Decoration Day, it began after the Civil War as a way to honor fallen soldiers by decorating their graves with flowers and flags.
Over time, Memorial Day came to represent a day of remembrance for all U.S. military members who died in any conflict, including World Wars I and II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and more recent operations.
We are humbled and grateful for your service, sacrifice, and selflessness...🫠🫶💛🫡🇺🇸🤗
ENJOY 😉 the long holiday weekend, everyone!🤗🙌😎
